Can you explain what you were experiencing in regards to your website before hiring me?
I felt overwhelmed with the idea of having to build a website alone on top of being a mom of toddlers and making artwork. I have made basic websites before but it's not something I love doing and not something I feel completely comfortable with. I was also struggling with condensing my ideas and writing into amazing copy that also felt like an authentic form of my own expression. I really do not think that I would have gone through with my vision and dream with this if I had not met you.
What were you most impressed by when our work began?
How in tune you were with being able to translate my thoughts and ideas. We did not have to do a whole lot of edits, just tweaking little details. It was really nice to know from the beginning that you understood my vision. I was also extremely impressed with your organization, prompts, and guides on how to go through this process with you. You thoughtfully have it all set up and make it such a smooth process and are available for quick chats here and there throughout the entire process, which is really generous and kind. I think the whole way you have your business set up is very generous for your clients. It was a lot of work to put into it but so worth it because I think it made my website shine in the exact way that I wanted it to.
How would you describe working with me?
It really was a dream to work together and the whole process was very intuitive. You understood my vision and artwork right away and were able to translate everything in a way that is completely authentic to me. One thing that I love is you were able to edit all of the information (and photographs) that I gave you to exactly what was needed to convey the emotion and message on my site. I also felt nurtured during the process and knowing you were available for questions and check-ins along the way.
How do you feel now about your decision to hire me?
Completely thrilled that I decided to invest in you and in myself in this way. I'm very grateful for how generous that you were in this project to be able to convey my vision in the perfect way. I'm also just so excited to launch my site and know it's the best possible virtual home for my artwork. I can really focus on creating and making art knowing when I have to set up a new gallery page and make a quick edit it will be completely manageable to do. It actually got me excited about being creative in that way too and after creating a collection I know it will be a fun process to set up the gallery page.
How are you feeling now that the project is over about moving forward?
I feel so well taken care of and off to the best possible start so that I can focus on what I love doing and create art. I know how to make edits to my site and add what I need in the future, but also I know you're there if I need you for a larger project and trust that you know my vision and brand.
What would you tell someone who is considering hiring Desk & Design?
It will be the best decision that you ever make in terms of web design and branding. I've worked with other designers before and they never quite got my vision like Mariana was able to from the very beginning.
